DIRECT LITHIUM EXTRACTION
The Direct Lithium Extraction tests on the LeckerLi project were done using Evove’s process, which runs under the “ICP” acronym.
“I” stands for Isolation and is a membrane stage, leveraging the company’s proprietary membrane coating technology.
“C” and “P” are two ion exchanger steps, that further polish the brine feed once it’s freed of most divalent ions after one or several passes over the membrane step.
Lithium Refining
Following the ICP step, here comes another acronym: CRC, standing for “Concentrate, Refine and Convert”.
This stage is developed in partnership with Saltworks and their Lithium Refining test center in Richmond (British Columbia, Canada).
The various steps involve membrane treatment, evaporation, and crystallization. The output of that process step is battery-grade Lithium Hydroxide (Lithium Carbonate is equally possible)
